Brian Ramsey is the President of Family Wealth Planning Partners. He provides a high level of service and attention to each of his clients, typically successful professionals, business owners and pre-retirees who are often focused on the demands of their occupations and busy lives and need to be able to trust someone with managing their wealth. Brian strives to develop financial plans that allow clients to enjoy their current lifestyle while remaining confident they will not outlive their wealth.
To help clients solve their cash flow, tax, educational, estate, insurance and other financial needs, Brian employs a five-step, client on-boarding process and a series of specific and structured Progress Review meetings. His discovery and implementation process is comprehensive, including a full review of the client’s balance sheet, and he adheres to a disciplined review process to be sure the plan remains efficient and on track over time. Brian also emphasizes the importance of educating clients on a range of financial solutions and alternative options so that they are empowered to make the decisions that best meet their specific goals and objectives. Each of his clients clearly understands the necessary steps to grow their wealth, preserve it through retirement years and transfer their wealth to the next generation.
Brian has been providing comprehensive financial guidance to clients since 2004. Before becoming a Independent Advisor Representative with Independent Financial Partners, a Registered Investment Advisor based in Tampa Florida, Be spent eight years working with clients in a local private bank. He earned the prestigious Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designations which demonstrate his expertise in financial planning and developing specific strategies to minimize taxes, protect assets, maximize growth and transfer wealth. Brian’s experience working with business owners, those with emerging wealth and being a CFP® practitioner have influenced his planning process and the importance of the full balance sheet approach.
Brian graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and earned his MBA in Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University. He served as a Board Member of the Kentucky Humane Society (2014-2017). Brian is an outgoing person who enjoys staying active by working out and playing golf and basketball. He is an entrepreneur, as well, and owns a company that buys and flips real estate. Brian also enjoys spending time with his father working on their collection of 1968 Mustangs. Brian is a member of Northeast Christian Church.
Stan & Donna are both natives of Louisville, KY and resident’s of OldhamCounty. They began Professional Estate Planners, Inc. dba Rosenthal, Starling & Associates, in September of 1998.

Stan earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Case Western Reserve University, in Metallurgical Engineering. His background as a scientific investigator for McDonnell Douglas and serving as CEO and CFO of a multi-million dollar retail business gives Stan the special insight to identify and solve problems that could otherwise compromise his client’s financial well-being.
Donna has worked in the insurance industry for over 32 years. She took a 5-year hiatus from her practice to be the primary caregiver for an elderly loved one. The day-to-day issues off illness and incapacitation of her great-uncle, compounded by Medical, Medicare, Medicaid, and Nursing Home Issues, lead her to pursue an education in geriatric studies and elder planning. Donna has served as a Guest Columnist for The Oldham Era. She has served the community as group facilitator for Soul Care at Southeast Christian Church and Long Term Care Ombudsman for the state of Kentucky.
Stan & Donna have taught continuing education classes to accountants and attorneys. They are also local and national speakers on the day-to-day issues affected by aging and money.
Stan & Donna work together to help individuals and their families become aware of and understand how important it is to make sure that all the “little things,” in a retirement plan, are in their place so they don’t become a huge issue later on in life.

Chris Vaughn was born and raised in Louisville, KY where he graduated from Jeffersontown High School. Chris is a veteran of the United States Army, he has degrees in Business Administration and Accounting. He and his wife, Cathy, have been married 23 years. They have 2 boys: CJ (13) and Casey (11). His family are members of Shelby Christian Church.

Isaac LaFond grew up in Louisville, KY. He and his wife, Kristen, both graduated from South Oldham High School in the early 2000’s. They have 3 children: Emersyn (5), Tucker (2) and Makenna (newborn). They’ve lived in Jeffersontown the last 6 years. Isaac and his 2 younger brothers, Caleb and Joshua, all graduated from Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, KY where he earned his BA in Christian Ministries in 2008. His family are members of Southeast Christian Church.
Isaac is on the Board of Director’s of Active Heroes, a National Veteran’s Suicide Prevention Charity, where he serves as Chairman of the Board. He also serves on the Louisville leadership team for CBMC, a peer mentoring group for Christian business men. Cris is a native of Louisville and currently lives in LaGrange, KY. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Cris was the Founder and CEO of a financial technology startup company before joining Family Wealth Planning Partners. Being an entrepreneur most of his adult life, he is passionate about working with other entrepreneurs & business owners to help them navigate advanced wealth planning challenges and achieve financial freedom. Cris also works with individuals approaching the retirement transition phase.
He is a member of Southeast Christian Church, serving as a volunteer in the Middle School Ministry and leads Financial Peace University. Cris has also been involved in the local scholastic wrestling community for 20 years. He is married to Kamille and together they have two sons, Cristian (4) and Decklan (1).
Eric Douglas is a Louisville native through and through. Born and raised here, he also attended Bellarmine University where he received both his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and English and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. The bulk of Eric’s professional experience thus far has been with Nationwide, where he’s worked with advisors throughout the country as an educator and valued consultant. He has used his extensive knowledge of fee-based products and solutions to travel the country speaking with firms about how to best implement these types of solutions into their clients’ portfolios, saving them thousands of dollars on average and helping to improve the quality of their lives. A long-held desire to switch sides of the table and work directly with clients himself to implement some of these ideas has led Eric to Family Wealth Planning Partners.
Eric enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah raising their 3 children together. Active members of St. Michael Church, he’s a regular coach of numerous youth sports his children participate in, and volunteers his time regularly. Other hobbies include training for the PGA Senior Tour, putting up way too Christmas lights in December, and learning the ins and outs of becoming a “Dance Dad.”
Eric holds his NASD Series 7, 66, 6, 63, 26, as well as his Life and Health Insurance License in numerous states.
Responsibilities: Assist advisors in placing life, disability and Long Term Care insurance cases by running quotes, processing insurance applications, assisting with completing policy reviews, taking client applications, case consultations, and acquiring licensing appointments.
Career before IFP: Started in the financial services industry in 1985. Kelle has worked as an independent agent, for banks and most recently for State Farm Insurance where she developed their Retirement Training portfolio and redeveloped their life insurance training prior to moving to Florida and joining IFP.
Education: BME in Music Education from Florida State University

Career Before IFP: Prior to joining Independent Financial Partners, I have worked on a variety of quantitative trading projects with privately held firms and individual clients. Additionally, I was lucky enough to be an early investor in Bitcoin, where I was able to setup a small OTC trading group before guidance from FINCEN put an end to the business in late 2012.

Career before IFP: Started in the financial industry in 2009 in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Operations department in New York City. More recently, served as a Business Analyst for Citigroup’s global custody business in Tampa, Florida.
